Great Family Vacation
Review From: G Malette, Canada, Jun 9, 2008
I read a lot of reviews about the 90 minute presentation, however we went with that in mind. We got a great deal for having sat through a presentation which lasted longer than 90 minutes. We had the option of paying full price but we chose the great deal and being there for 7 days, it was worth every cent. We have three children and I can't imagine being in a hotel room for 7 nights!! (and paying twice the price) The rooms were very spacious and well furnished with 3 tvs, fridge/ stove and washer/ dryer, not to mention the extra bathroom which was great as we started our days early to head out to Disney which was a very short drive. Loved it and would go again!!

Excellent
Review From: Jon, Oct 1, 2009
Our experience at Westgate was great. We were treated royaly. We went knowing there would be a presentation, our sales person was great, not pushy at all. We did buy and are happy about it. They gave us all the freebies they said they would. We went through chekin very quickly and on to the presentation in less than an hour. Which considering how busy they were was very good. Our room was imaculate.

Popular Resort
Review From: Ken, Jun 9, 2008
It's true that Westgate is busy. But it is a beautiful property with LOTS of things to do. We stayed in a 2 bdrm and have to say it is the nicest place we've ever stayed on vacation. We went on the sales presentation and they did ask us to buy. I guess that's why they call it a sales presentation. I mentioned how busy the resort was to the salesman and he replied that if we'd come to this resort and there was a lot of parking available we probably should ask why no one wanted to be there. They are busy because they are a popular resort. I guess that makes sense. Overall it was a good experience. I would definitely go again.

NICE ROOMS - BUT DO NOT!! ATTEND PRESENTATION
Review From: Matthew, Jun 9, 2008
We stayed at the Westgate Lakes Resort - we traded for it thru interval, as we already own at Mariott (we need the 2 bedroom and sadly our (really) beloved Mariott didn't have 2 bedrooms for our time. Anyway, the property is nice; checkin is a bit...of a madhouse. Also, what really ticked me off, is once you get your roomkey, etc., the guy who gives you directions is the timeshare sales guy! I was very firm and polite - I got this thru interval, I AM NOT interested. He got the point after a few mins. If u want to buy a timeshare, buy from Mariott, Sheraton, or Disney. NOT westgate.

Timeshare hell
Review From: michellef543@yahoo.com, Jun 9, 2008  | See All Reviews
This place is the pits. Check in was horrible. It took 2 hours to get to our apartment. We get there and it's a filthy pit. We try to complain, they ignore us. They said we had to do a timeshare presentation. We get this little weasel, who we dubbed Guido. Guido knew he wasn't getting anywhere, so he gets his manager in. They keep changing the price. If they weren't conning so many people, it would almost be funny. We managed to escape after 2 hours. BEWARE! I would say positive reviews are written by Guido and friends. Believe nothing they say. If you can't pass up the deal, be prepared to incredulous at them trying to sell you a timeshare in this dump after you've stayed there. Facts and figures. Not only will you have a mortgage payment every month, but you'll also pay a maintenance fee. Did I mention the bugs? The crusty coffee maker? The broken locks? You get the idea.....

One of the best!
Review From: K Robertson, Jun 9, 2008
We stayed here in two, three bedroom suites and it was GREAT! Very clean and spacious and well equiped suites, lots to do outdoors on the property, with a lake and water toy rentals and decent pools as well. The only issue was having rented and prepaid and the check-in is a MADHOUSE! THis is a very high volume property and you actually get in your car and follow a staff person to your room as the property is so huge! Also, we had many calls to attenda timeshare presentation and we were paying customers, not there to buy anything...a message that seemed hard to get across!

timeshare sharks feeding time,watch out!!!
Review From: Kim, Jun 9, 2008
we stayed there from dec 22-28th,2006.we bought the rental from some friends so we were not interested in any timeshare presentation..we were told we had to attend one or we would get double charged on our room.so we went and they had us sign a waiver ,but was so rude and so persistant that we left a day early becuase we felt unwelcomed.i mean they have security guarding breakfeast bar...not family orientated at all and no supermarkets close to grounds..i would NEVER go there again but if you do watch out for sales person names Marian and her supervisor they dont like taking NO for an answer.lot more nicer places to go than this place try summer bay resort ..

Horrible
Review From: yury vaynriber, Jun 9, 2008
Took forever to check in, No room service 3 days in a row. 3 towels only, had to call every night for more. Front desk lied about late checkout. Lied about a manager not being available. Half the lights in the room did not work.

Outrageous Check-in Procedure
Review From: debbie klammer, Jun 9, 2008
March 2006-We had to wait over an hour in line to check in. Then we were told our room would not be available for at least another hour. Staff is not very helpful, they kept sending us to the wrong line for check-in. Resort guests are required to stand in line with all of the people who are there for the timeshare tour which is close to one hundred people who are promised to receive discount tickets for Disney. Nice room, just would never go back do to the check in.

very bad experience.
Review From: sadea, Jun 9, 2008
we reserved our hotel through discount hotel.we had to attend a timeshare presentation.it was new thing for us.we had no clue.but it was very painful.the saleperson tried to convince us to buy timeshare.we were not interested.then he asked for our creditcard and ids.he gave our card and id to his manager.he asked us if u want to buy this timeshare.we will charge it on your card with good discount.we refused his offer nicely.he made copies of our card and ids for record.he returned our card and everything.then we left for parks.my husband was very mad.the way they treated us to buy timeshare.anyway i was shocked too.but what happen when i got home.i got my creditcard bill.it was chraged with many transactions in some restuarant, gas station stores.which i never made.i dont know why they made copies of our card and how it was stolen.our whole trip was ruined just because of this stupid timeshare.please never give your creditcard to these kind of salesman.i dont recommed tmeshare inthese resort.its just pain.
