Good Hotel for People on Budget
Review From: Shyam, Jun 9, 2008
I stayed at this hotel during one of my trips to Duluth as all other hotels were completely booked. The hotel seemed to be a warehouse previously, which has been remodeled as a hotel. I preferred staying in the luxury units as I wanted my room to have modern amenities and proper ventilation. The room had a fireplace, a full kitchen, and other modern facilities. It had exposed wood beams and wood floors, which gave it a unique look. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The part of the hotel I was staying in didn't allow pets. I was happy about it, as I'm no pet lover. The pool area of the hotel was above average and had a nice hot tub. The place provided free parking and had many restaurants located near it. In the morning guests were served a continental breakfast, which was very nice. The hotel staff was accommodating and efficient. But it seemed that the staff was smaller than most hotels. This is not a fancy hotel so don't expect the look and the luxury of a five star hotel. I enjoyed my stay at the Hawthorn Suites, as its rates were very inexpensive. I'd recommend this hotel to people on budget.
