Clean Hotel with Lazy River but Fitness Center Needs to be Updated

With a convenient location on the north end of Myrtle Beach, the Sand Dunes Resort Hotel is close to all of the area attractions. A variety of shops and restaurants, as well as theaters and other entertainment venues, are all within close proximity. An IMAX theater is located within four miles of the hotel. Guests of the hotel may also access the Sands Water Park and the Legends Golf Courses. The hotel houses 430 guest rooms and suites with private balconies. Most rooms have ocean views. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature cable television, refrigerators, coffeemakers, and microwaves. Internet access is offered but only dial-up service is available. Some suites offer full kitchens. The hotel features a pizzeria, a sports bar, and a convenience store. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor pools or float down the lazy river. All facilities are nicely updated except for the worn-out fitness center, which is small and only features three stationary bikes.

2 hour check-in and rooms still weren't ready. Staff did not want to be bothered with complaints. Refrigerator didn't work and they made no repair. Rooms filthy. Saw maid service once in 4 days and had to beg for towels.
