Updated Older Hotel North of SOBE Action

Travelers looking to be in the heart of South Beach¿s entertainment, shopping, and dining will be very disappointed with The Palms, as will those that expect a four-star experience (despite what the hotel¿s Web site promises). On the other hand, travelers that want to stay on the beach and away from the noise and chaos from North Beach (but still have relatively quick access to it), The Palms is a nice taste of old school Miami Beach. The Palms is an older motel that has been updated with a number of boutique hotel touches. But, as travelers have mentioned, it¿s still an older building: elevators are slow, rooms are small, etc. Otherwise, guests love the well-manicured grounds and beach and the friendly staff. Located in Miami Beach, The Palms is 12 miles from Miami International Airport.
