Downtown St. Augustine, with its historic attractions and shops, is just five miles away. Other nearby places of interest include Anastasia State Park, San Sebastian Winery, and St. Augustine World Gulf Village. The two-story complex offers 144 guest rooms, most with ocean views. Room amenities include cable television, coffeemakers, and hair dryers. Internet service is available but only dial-up is offered. The rooms are air-conditioned but the air conditioners have a musty smell to them due to inadequate upkeep. In fact, the rooms as a whole could use better maintenance and housekeeping. The hotel facilities fare better than the rooms. They include 5,200 square feet of meeting space outfitted with audio/visual equipment, and a restaurant with tableside ocean views. The outdoor pool is popular with kids due to its 116-foot winding water slide. Overall, the St. Augustine Beachfront Resort offers a decent location but better accommodations can be found for the price.
