OK Location, OK Amenities, OK Service

When I stayed at this Sheraton on business, I was excited to be in downtown Chicago. But when I checked in, I was a little disappointed at how average this Sheraton looked. Everything in downtown is so magnificent, and this hotel was not. Fortunately, my company was paying for the room. The carpet was frayed, and my TV was tiny. The restaurants were very hotel-y and boring. I found a couple of great little Italian restaurants nearby. It seems to be just another big, impersonal business hotel that counts on doing big numbers for conferences. But there's a distinct shortage of personal touches and extra amenities that other big chains (Westin, Hilton) concentrate so hard on these days.
