Scenic Oceanfront Hotel with its Own Fishing Pier
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
Located on the Crystal Coast on the most southern edge of the Outer Banks, the Sheraton Atlantic Beach Oceanfront Hotel offers guests convenient opportunities to visit many local attractions. Besides the usual fishing and golfing, guests can also visit the area's historic sites as well as take in a day of shopping. Those who wish to travel further can reach Raleigh and Durham in three hours. The nine-story hotel features 200 guest rooms with private balconies. Most rooms include ocean views. All rooms feature cable television, video-game consoles, coffeemakers, refrigerators, and in-room safes. High-speed Internet access and climate control are also available. There are some drawbacks to the rooms, however. The sliding glass balcony doors are difficult to open and close. When they do open, they make a lot of noise that can be heard from other rooms. There is also no furniture on the balconies, making the option of "lounging on the balcony" an impossible task. The hotel does offer other places to lounge around, including two pools, a hot tub, and a 600-foot fishing pier. Those who are more active will enjoy the fitness center. Overall, this resort offers something for everyone in a scenic locale.
