"Sailport Resort is really a collection of condos, which provide a serviceable stay and great location near Tampa Bay. The upside is the home-away-from-home conveniences, like the kitchenette complete with cutlery and dishes, as well as the obliging staff. The downside is its age, reflected in some of the condos' cleanliness and furniture. Some condos though are nicer than others, and in general, the maintenance crew is always at work. The ups and downs balance out in the usually low prices, certainly one of the more affordable ones that provide ocean views from many of the balcony windows.

Sailport offers a range of complimentary services, including airport and area shuttle, wireless access, a modest continental breakfast, weekday daily newspaper, parking, and cable. Despite the shuttle convenience, the parking lot will likely come in handy. The resort is at a somewhat out-of-the-way spot on the causeway, so a rental is highly recommended to visit local restaurants and beaches. The public beach lies less than a mile away, downtown is about a 10-minute drive, Historic Ybor City, Olde Hyde Park Village, and the Port about 15 minutes, and Busch Gardens and the Gulf Coast beaches about 25 minutes.
