"Lodging Worth Every Penny, if Paying in Pennies"
Review From: editorialreviews@nextag.com, Jun 9, 2008
"A place across the police station can't be all bad, can it? Well, sad to say, even the land of flowing chocolate has its downside, and this comes close to it. A traveler on a stringent budget with no expectations will find the Red Carpet Inn suitable for his or her needs. The staff will be welcoming enough and try to please as much as they can, within their power.
For other travelers who want more in the sweet tooth of America, they might want to count their spare change a little more closely before deciding to come here. Folks who find reports of ground-in dirt in the carpet, not-so-clean linens, problematic plumbing, dead insects, and unpleasant smells unsettling, won't want to settle in here. And those who can live with that dirty laundry list may not care for stories of wood nailed over a hole in the wall or broken window latches.
Then again, at these prices, this can still be a consideration for a group of adults not asking for too much. They may find themselves pleasantly surprised, and have the joys of exploring the nearby chocolate attractions. Plus, in a way, the police station across the street is almost a security bonus. "
