We stayed here and the restaraunt was high priced and only buffet and the food was not hot and there were no towel at the pool like it said there would be. I had to wait to get some. The elevator broke down and there was only one working elevator for 5 floors of people staying there. The patios were in poor repair and the rooms were dark and gloomy. I would not stay here again. The security lock on your door was loose and I would not have felt safe if my husband were not with me. The grandkids went to the game room and some of the games did not work.

Big Time Rip off

Great deal 4 days 3 nights Orlando 3 days 2 nights Ft. Lauderdale all I had to do was go to a 90 min timeshare meeting. Also get free tickets to Disney, Universal Orlando or free rental car and pay $29 per person when you book your trip. Sounded good to me. What they don't tell you is there is a $12 surcharge per night and that the hotel in Orlando is near a prison and nothing else. The hotel in Ft. Lauderdale has at least a few stores around it. The shuttle picked me up at 10:45am for my 90 min meeting which lasted about 2 1/2 hours. The shuttle didn't come back till 3pm. They also make you pay $40 which is refundable if you go to the meeting and only give you a voucher for one night to make sure you go to the meeting. I asked the guy at the welcome center if I had to go to a meeting in Ft. Lauderdale and he said no. I get to Ft. Lauderdale and tell the guy I've already been to Orlando and he takes my $40 so I have to go to another meeting. The shuttle pickup is at8:30 the meeting does last for 90 mins but the shuttle doesn't come back till 2:30. In my opinion I would't recommend this to anyone. Save your money and book your own hotel. The hotel in Orlando was really nice but the one in Ft. Lauderdale was old and needed new carpets.

bad time at ramada 1000

we stayed at the ramada 1000 2-23-04-2- 26-04 . As soon as we got there we had a fight we the welcome center over us paying more not to take a tour he said unless i could show him something i still would have to take the tour after i payed 50.00 not to take it well luckly for me i had what he needed but we had more prombles over my tickets for the parks i was told i could buy them there for 52.00 for a two day pass he told me no we had more of a fight but i did finally get my ticket but i took me almost 1,12 to get ckeck in . the next morning we when down for the breakfast bar i found a bug in my eggs but i had to pay for my bug breakfast i was not happy at all. i personly we not go back to that hotel ever!!!!!. i honestly belive ramada owes me some free nights or refund thank you troy tucker

slow/bad service-old dilapidated building

our "special vacation" was August '03. very disappointed with service (they acted like they had just been paroled from jail directly down the road from hotel, staff would do only as little as required). Facilities: entire building had a musty stench, worn out furniture, linens, and towels. Showers - (ugh!) Best feature: swimming pool. very sad we choose to go here.
