The Ramada Inn Maingate has the best location in the world, but they don't rest on their laurels. This is also a fantastic hotel with great customer service. The staff is friendly and upbeat, and they want your vacation to be wonderful. My family has been here twice, and we will return again soon. This family-oriented hotel is a bit older, so it's not like some fancy five-star Hilton or something. But for a family and young kids who are here to enjoy Disneyland each day, and don't want a lot of hassle getting there or back, this is an excellent hotel. You can either take a short $2 shuttle-bus trip over there, or you can walk. It takes five or 10 minutes at the most. Which means, of course, we never have to worry about parking or high parking costs. Or not being able to find our car in a huge parking lot, which has happened more than once. The breakfasts at the hotel are delicious, and there are a lot of fun, inexpensive restaurants nearby for dinners out. We brought pizza to our room more than once because the kids were so pooped after a long day at Disneyland. We love this hotel for what it gives us, and we don't have unrealistic expectations about its low "fancy-factor."
