Tropical Beachfront Resort with Plenty to Do
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
The Radisson Resort South Padre Island, located in the center of South Padre's business district, is a tropical resort convenient for business and leisure travelers alike. Facing the Gulf of Mexico, this resort is right in front of the beach and only 2 miles from the bay. The lobby is decorated with tropical plants and features two Catalina macaws who greet visitors. The tropical motif extends to the 194 guest rooms and suites with floral bedspreads and colorful artwork. All rooms have balconies with views of the beach or pool. The resort's two outdoor pools, one with a cascading waterfall, are surrounded with lush flowers and palm trees. A complaint is that the pools are often crowded because it's available for use by the general public and not just hotel guests. Other amenities include three heated spa tubs, four tennis courts, and two beach volleyball courts. Water sports are also available in the warmer seasons. Despite the crowding, the Radisson Resort South Padre Island is a great one-stop resort to experience the warm South Padre weather.
