Great Beach Location, Less than Great Facility
Review From: Angela, Jun 9, 2008
I am a big Radisson fan, and have lots of Radisson Points from my business travels. But when my husband and I decided to spend a week in Corpus Christi, we were not thrilled with this Radisson. To start with the good, though, it has a fantastic location, right on the beautiful Corpus Christi coastline. We were there in May, and spent a lot of time just lounging out on the sand. Our room was big, and it had a nice balcony that looked out toward the ocean and the USS Lexington. That said, it was obvious that we were staying in an older hotel. It's really in need of renovation, and I hope Radisson makes that investment soon. The hotel itself didn't seem to be very clean. You can tell when a hotel's management staff has a high standard of service and cleanliness, and this property did not seem to have that. Even the hotel's restaurant, which was nice enough and reasonably priced, needs some updating. Our waitress was plain tired, and didn't seem to be happy to be working that day. We also had a few problems with our TV's reception, and the front-desk staff took its time responding to us. (The TV never really got fixed.) I don't want to give this hotel too bad a review, though. We had a nice time, and overall, everything was good. Just not great, which is what you always hope for when you're on vacation. I hope this Radisson gets things up to speed soon.
