The Queen Mary cannot be compared with other hotels because it's in a class of its own. Being on the Queen Mary takes you back to a different time period and you can almost see the passengers of the past strolling along the decks. The rooms are optimally maintained to capture the 30s/40s with some of the original decor from that time. Whether enjoying lunch at the Promenade or dinner at Sir Winstons, you can expect first class service and the very best food.
I love the essence of the Queen Mary because staying there is a complete experience and not just staying in a hotel. There are tours and restaurants available. The entire ship is like walking a museum as there are glass cases everywhere with antiques and nostalgia. Most importantly, while on the ship, you will feel like you are in a different time period. It's hard to describe why. For the short time you stay aboard the Queen Mary you will be a part of an era when America was innocent, simple, and with a bright future ahead. Highly recommended.
