A Theme Adventure for Couples Off the Beaten Path
Review From: Angela, Jun 9, 2008
My husband and I have been to this resort three times, and we will definitely go back. It is a very unique experience. Nothing cookie-cutter about it, and no big chain-hotel feeling either. It's got a lot of planned activities, and plenty of interaction with other couples. That's mostly during the meals, because breakfast and dinner are included, so you're always sharing a table with others. It's nice! You can interact as much or as little as you want to. At first, I didn't like the "camp" sound of the activities. But when we got there and experienced it, it was fun. There are four couples at each dinner table, and each night we had a great time and met really interesting people. After dinner, there's always a nightclub act of some kind, and there are games, too. And the food was to die for. Prime rib, prawns, chocolate desserts... amazing dishes. The breakfasts were great, too. Our room was a "Fantasy Apple," which meant it had a big, luxurious bed, fireplace, Jacuzzi, and a PRIVATE POOL. There is so much to do at this resort: golf, archery, biking, tennis, hiking, horseback riding pool, hot tub, basketball court, billiards, ping pong, various arcade games. And more! Yes, the decor is a bit 1970s, so it's sort of dated. This resort seems to be geared toward people who are of that generation. But my husband and I are in our early 30s, and we love it. Mix and match is fine with us! We were entertained every minute of the day.

Thank God for the Jacuzzi because the bed was uncomfortable
Review From: Leah Gatton, Jun 9, 2008
It snowed 18 inches, we had to SHOVEL OURSELVES OUT OF OUR PARKING SPOT. They seemed to shovel everyone around us out, and we requested they shovel us out, which they said they would, but they never did. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I are in our 20s, and we woke up in pain every day, it hurt to breath. The pool and jacuzzi were nice. Couch horrible. Had to buy our own log for the fire place. The breakfast was burnt 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Everyone was really friendly. $25 bottle of Verdi Champagne was $3 at the local liquor store. Hmmm...

Excellent for young couples!

My boyfriend and I went to Pocono Palace and stayed at the Roman Towers. And let me tell you how amazing it was! If you love sports and you are an active person, this is the place for you! We did things that we would normally not be prone to do and it made it so exciting! Lots of other young couples there and many activities to do. You will not be bored!

terrible, old , smelly
Review From: Jacckie, Jun 9, 2008
I stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple at the Caesars Pocono Palace for my 15th wedding anniversary. It was the worse experience me and my husband ever had. We paid more than $700.00 dollars for two nights, expecting to find a lovely, clean place to spend our anniversary weekend but instead, we found a nightmare. The rooms are outdated and smelly, the pillows, matress and conforter are old and very unfortable. The shows are mediocre. The drinks over priced. The food was the worse food I ever had in my life. The food looked and tasted horrible.
