A Theme Adventure for Couples Off the Beaten Path
Review From: Angela, Jun 9, 2008
My husband and I have been to this resort three times, and we will definitely go back. It is a very unique experience. Nothing cookie-cutter about it, and no big chain-hotel feeling either. It's got a lot of planned activities, and plenty of interaction with other couples. That's mostly during the meals, because breakfast and dinner are included, so you're always sharing a table with others. It's nice! You can interact as much or as little as you want to. At first, I didn't like the "camp" sound of the activities. But when we got there and experienced it, it was fun. There are four couples at each dinner table, and each night we had a great time and met really interesting people. After dinner, there's always a nightclub act of some kind, and there are games, too. And the food was to die for. Prime rib, prawns, chocolate desserts... amazing dishes. The breakfasts were great, too. Our room was a "Fantasy Apple," which meant it had a big, luxurious bed, fireplace, Jacuzzi, and a PRIVATE POOL. There is so much to do at this resort: golf, archery, biking, tennis, hiking, horseback riding pool, hot tub, basketball court, billiards, ping pong, various arcade games. And more! Yes, the decor is a bit 1970s, so it's sort of dated. This resort seems to be geared toward people who are of that generation. But my husband and I are in our early 30s, and we love it. Mix and match is fine with us! We were entertained every minute of the day.
