The charming Piccolo Borgo hotel, is located around 10 km from the historical centre of Rome, in the midst of one of Europe's largest open-air museums, comprising the nearby Appian Way Park, Roman aqueduct remains, and the historical Capannelle village. The property used to house a church and horse stables. These days, the old stables, dating back to the early 1900's and set out in a horse-shoe layout, accomodate the hotel's double and triple bedrooms, while the 18th century St. Anthony's Church, deconsecrated long ago, houses the reception lounge, the breakfast room, four single bedrooms on the lower floor and two suites on the upper floor.
