My husband and I discovered this gorgeous resort in Ocean Beach back in 1993, and we've been back every summer since! We love everything about it - they really pay attention to the details. Whether it's the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool, the thoughtfully landscaped courtyard, the over-sized rooms, the gracious staff, or the two excellent restaurants, it's all done beautifully. And the hotel's location is excellent - it's on the easternmost end of the island, so its beach feels almost private. Then there are the wonderful hotel pools - such a great place to relax. And there's always live music either at the pool or playing somewhere in the distance. There is also a well-equipped exercise room, and my only regret is that I didn't spend a bit more time there. Another nice thing about this hotel is the way it treats families: They really cater to couples with small fry, and that creates a nice family feel. It's nice even when you're there without kids. Everyone is in the best mood because of the great vacation environment that they're living in for a short period of time! I can't wait to go back, and my husband's been reminiscing about the prime rib he had in their casual restaurant one night. We ate in the Perdido Beach Resort all week - the food was that good. All in all, an excellent resort.
