Good Location, Less-Than-Average Decor
Review From: Mahua, Jun 9, 2008
I visited Gatlinburg with my friends during a weekend in winter and decided to stay at the Park Vista. The trolleys in the area come to the door of the hotel. The external architecture of the hotel was impressive and we were glad we chose this place. However, our happiness didn't last long. Though our room was large, clean, and had a great view of the mountain, it looked old and depressing. Unfortunately, one of my friends fell sick and she needed to rest. But the commotion in the hotel made resting almost impossible. Even the manager wasn't able to help us out. The food in the hotel was good but expensive. We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool and loved to watch the snow fall from our window. Overall, it was a decent experience but I'm sure we would've found a better place had we not been so hasty in picking this place.
