Beachfront Hotel with Basic Amenities

Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort South Padre Island is an ideal spot for a beachside stay. The hotel is located near the south end of South Padre Island and is adjacent to the Schlitterbahn Beach Water Park. The six-story hotel offers 227 air-conditioned guest rooms with balconies that look out at the ocean or pool area. While the room is a decent size, the bathrooms are cramped - the door hits the toilet when opened. Business facilities include four conference rooms and 6,600 square feet of meeting space. Dial-up Internet access is available but not high-speed. Overall, the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort is a basic hotel ideal for spring-breakers or those on a budget.
