Beachfront Hotel with Fantastic Gulf Views

Situated in the center of South Padre Island, the Padre South Hotel provides beautiful water views and direct access to the beach. This eight-story beachfront hotel features 91 guest rooms and suites, each with its own private balcony and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Most balconies provide fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico and its colorful sunsets. Hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The secluded pool area also offers views of the gulf. Be forewarned that this area is prone to attracting late-night pool parties and therefore, could get noisy. For the more adventurous swimmer, a private path leads directly to the beach and the ocean. While the hotel is in a location convenient for the beach, other attractions are not within walking distance. Schlitterbahn Waterpark is located 1 mile away and the convention center is 4 miles away. Overall, if your main objective is to enjoy the beach, the Padre South Hotel is a great stay.

There are no fitted sheets, the blankets are too small for the beds, the bathrooms are small and awkward, the sinks are outside of the bathrooms, they did not have our cash deposit to return to us when we left. There were no blowdryers or irons. The customer service was poor as well.
