Disappointing

I heard Omni Hotels had upgraded some
of their hotels so I checked into this
Los Angeles one. I came in from a
long flight and was disappointed when
I saw my room. It smelled like smoke
when I asked for non-smoking, the room
was dark and dingy. Carpet looks
worned out, and bedding looked old. I
could not believe they advertise this
hotel as 4 stars. It was like a
Holiday Inn but charging 4 star
prices. When I tried to change rooms,
they said I couldn't. And I signed up
for their loyalty program (Select
Guest) to get their advertised
benefits like a free cup of coffee in
the morning. They never delivered
this, nor apologized when I mentioned
it. Needless to say, I won't be loyal
after this experience so I
unregistered myself asap.
