Unless you have a hankering for apathetic staff, dirty bathrooms, unchanged sheets, avoid this over-priced place ranked 37th/97 by TripAdvisor. What this place is, is a facade. Nice on the outside, dirt otherwise. From the arrival and not-too-friendly greeting (they didn't even offer to open any doors or offer a luggage trolley when it was obvious I needed one), we should have taken our cue to leave. Instead this average to below average abode had no-frills, old furniture, old carpet, poor upkeep (cracked tiles, mildew, bad stain on table), and a general depressing dinginess, which will motivate you to spend as much time as possible out of your room. They claimed their poor pool hours (10-10) was so residents could get their morning sleep (check out at 11am). Thin-walls should prevent that from happening anyway. In actuality, their hot tub was being filled at 10:45am. I was told that my complaints were unique, and that I find hard to believe (just read the other reviews on other sites). Do not expect any customer service. If you complain, expect defensiveness and ineffective action. If you're willing to pay their ridiculous rates (they claim competitive), go elsewhere for the same or less. Think rotten egg: nice white shell on the outside, horrible where it counts. On the plus side: location is great (1KM from casino, falls, border, Clifton Hill; 3KM from outlets), staff said they'd look into room, exterior quaint, interior common areas nice.
