THE VIKING MOTEL WAS A FAIRLY NICE PLACE TO STAY FOR THE PRICE, BUT CHECKING IN WAS A DISASTER. IT WAS OUR VERY FIRST TRIP TO MYRTLE BEACH, VERY EXCITED TO GET THERE. AFTER DRIVING 8 HOURS, WE GOT THERE AT 1:00 P.M. HOPING OUR ROOM WOULD BE READY. NO. SHE SAID TO COME BACK AT 4:00, NOT READY. WE SIT THERE IN THE PARKING LOT WAITING. (THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE ALSO WAITING). FINALLY AT 6:30 OUR ROOM WAS READY AFTER 5 1/5 HOURS. THAT WAS JUST RIDICULOUS. THAT WAS ENOUGH TO MAKE OUR FIRST TRIP TO MYRTLE BEACH MISARBLE. IT MADE US WISH WE HADN'T WENT THERE. THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK WAS NOT FRIENDLY, WE GOT NO APOLOGY. WE DID GET A 10% DISCOUNT (WE SHOULD HAVE GOT MORE OFF). ALSO, THE CLEANING SERVICE WAS NOT THAT GREAT. THEY SAID 6 CLEANING WORKERS HAD QUIT, THAT WAS NOT OUR FAULT. WHEN YOU PAY SOMEONE YOUR MONEY TO STAY THERE, THE SERVICE SHOULD BE A LOT BETTER THAN WHAT WE GOT!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO OTHERS WHO STAY THERE!!!! ALSO THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH PARKING FOR VIKING CUSTOMERS. WE HAD TO PARK ACROSS THE STREET, HOPING NOT TO GET RUNOVER. CARS DIDN'T WANT TO SLOW DOWN WHEN THEY SAW US CROSSING THE STREET.
