A Resort Casino Hotel with a Variety of Entertainment Choices
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
The Mohegan Sun hotel offers its guests a wide array of entertainment options from casinos to a variety of shops and restaurants. The 34-story tower opens up to a giant lobby with a Native American décor. A river flows along the lobby staircase and empties down a waterfall. Behind this lobby lies the impressive Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky, which offer over 6,000 slot machines and over 280 gaming tables. The 1,200 spacious guest rooms are outfitted with the latest amenities and include great views of the river. The rooms are soundproofed to prevent noise from the casinos and its lively surroundings. Hotel facilities include a business center, spa, and a fitness room with an indoor pool and sun terrace. The pool is great for a relaxing soak but at only 3.5 feet deep, not ideal for swimming laps. This pool depth, however, is perfect for kids. The hotel's elegant ballroom is the largest in the entire Northeast and is ideal for large functions. Non-gamblers can enjoy the 30 brand-name restaurants including Todd English's Tuscany and Johnny Rockets, as well as nightly shows at the 300-seat Cabaret and the Wolf Den. With so much to do, the Mohegan Sun is like a city unto itself.
