Roaches!!!!
I went booked this hotel because of the price and location. At 40 bucks for the night I did not expect much. However one thing I do expect is that the room be free of roaches. We were in room 106. Well the 1st trip I needed to make was to the bathroom after a long drive from South Florida. Well while going to the bathroom a huge roach was crawling around on the door. I went to the front desk and informed the person working the desk. He said sorry and moved me to room 103 (three doors down). Well I did not notice any roaches that night and the next day was out the entire day. I checked the room again (actually several times because now I was worried I would be covered in them while I slept). I did not find any. Went to bed the second night of my stay did not get much sleep because of the worry for roaches. Well I got up around 6am to go to the bathroom and guess what? Yes more roaches. right on the sink and after I killed that one I turned around and saw two more on the in room safe. I killed it and put it in a cup for the clerk for when I checked out. I brought it to the attention of now what seemed to be the manager Robin. She gave me a $20 credit. How nice I got 5 bucks per roach kill. While I was checking out the housekeeping staff was there talking and heard me say roaches and went on to say that "This is Florida there are roches every where" one even said "I have roaches in my car". I did call Masters Inn and expressed my concern about the condition of the place and the Customer Service Rep said "Well Florida is a sub tropic area and there are going to be roaches". Well I live in South Florida (much more sub tropic than Orlando). And I can happily say I do not have roaches in my house. I dont even have them in my car.
Anyway if you are thinking of staying at this hotel take a pass. There are other hotels in the same price range that are much cleaner. I visit Orlando at least once a month I know.
