HoJo Spruces Itself Up for Decent Stay
Review From: editorialreviews@nextag.com, Jun 9, 2008
"A turnaround of some sort has happened at the Howard Johnson Kitchener. In the past, guests had experienced everything from poor housekeeping to rude service, but today's HoJo has reversed itself on both counts, and more. The prices are still very low, but the premises are neat. The lobby has been renovated and sports a fireplace. The Kitchener also offers 11 meeting rooms including a theater and banquet area that fits up to 220 people. Two restaurants located on site include, of all things, Waikiki Restaurant, which offers Polynesian food, and Athinulu's for Mexican and Mediterranean.
The renaissance has extended to the 102 newly furnished guest rooms. Some have refrigerators, microwaves, or Jacuzzis. The Pool Side rooms, as the name indicates, allow direct water access. Guests have access to a family-friendly pool and hot tub. Other freebies include local calls and use of the parking facility.
Nearby amenities include African Lion Safari and Sportsworld. "
