Casino and Theater Popular with the Locals
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
The Imperial Palace brings a little bit of Vegas flavor to the back bay of Biloxi. Located in a convenient location with easy access to freeways and major interstates, the Imperial Palace is popular with tourists and locals alike. The hotel features Cinema 6, one of the city's finer theaters, with six auditoriums all offering THX sound technology. Located on the 12th floor of the parking structure is an outdoor pool with seven waterfalls and Jacuzzi. But the main draw is the 70,000-square foot casino with more than 1,560 slot machines and video poker games. Live table games such as craps, roulette, blackjack, and poker are available at 30 spots throughout the casino. The 1,088 guest rooms are furnished with basic amenities and offer views of the city and bay. The rooms are comfortable but the televisions, however, only offer four channels including the hotel's own internal ad channel. The amount of smoke that permeates the property is also a concern. The smoke lingers in the lobby, elevators, and even the non-smoking rooms. Overall, the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino is recommended only for those craving to scratch that gambling itch.
