Spanish-Mediterranean, Villa-Style Hotel with Convenient Location

With a convenient location between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, the Hyatt Westlake Plaza has the best of both worlds. Scenic Santa Barbara is only 11 miles north of the hotel, while Hollywood and Beverly Hills are 30 miles south. The hotel is also minutes from Malibu Beach and the Westlake Plaza Promenade. Bargain shoppers can visit the Camarillo Premium Outlet Mall for designer brands, while golfers have a choice of 18 nearby championship golf courses.
The five-story hotel has a Spanish-Mediterranean influenced exterior with white walls and red terra-cotta roofs. This villa-style hotel houses 262 guest rooms with well-appointed amenities. The decor, consisting of crown moldings and cherry wood furnishings, lends a sophisticated ambiance. All rooms include air conditioning, cable television, coffeemakers, hair dryers, irons, and ironing boards. Refrigerators and microwaves are also available but only by request. All three options of Internet access (high-speed, dial-up, and wireless) are offered for a fee. Some rooms are located close to the highway, so traffic noise is a concern for light sleepers.
The hotel, often booked for conferences and weddings, features 12,800 square feet of meeting space. This space includes a grand ballroom, 10 meeting rooms, and an outdoor courtyard. Guests can also enjoy the garden gazebo or relax in the outdoor pool, two hot tubs, or two saunas. A fitness center is available as well.
Overall, while more casual than other Hyatt hotels, the Hyatt Westlake Plaza has a unique style that makes it a worthwhile stay.
