I think the Howard Johnson Inn in Panama City is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel is dirty and lacked any maintenance. I was in Panama City for a meeting and unfortunately choose to stay in this hotel. My room was very unclean. It had stained carpets and dirty bed sheets. The bathroom was also horribly unclean with brown towels. Thankfully, previous experiences with this type of hotel have taught me to carry my own towels. This saved my day. The security is slack here. I could see minors walking around the corridors with beer without anyone stopping them. The beach near the hotel was also a replica of the hotel in terms of hygiene. It was filled with filth such as cigarette cartons and the water had submerged Jack Daniels bottles in it. I thanked my stars as I didn't have to stay there for more than two days. The staff in the hotel was OK but they alone couldn't please their guests with their services. I think the hotel authorities should revamp the whole hotel if they want to stay in business. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay in this dump.
