Located on the boardwalk, the Holiday
Inn Sunspree Resort Virginia Beach
offers convenient access to the beach
and great views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The location is within close proximity
to a variety of area attractions. The
Virginia Aquarium and Science Center,
Ocean Breeze Fun Park, and Motor World
are all four miles away. With the
Virginia Beach Pavilion convention
center only three miles away, this hotel
is also a good choice for the business
traveler.
The 266 guest rooms and 55 suites are
decent, if a bit small. Better upkeep
will make the rooms more attractive as
opposed to its current condition of
peeling ceilings and paint. All rooms
include basic amenities including cable
television, coffeemakers, refrigerators,
and hair dryers. Each room also offers a
work desk with ample lighting and
high-speed Internet access.
The hotel caters to families with its
KidSpree children's activity center.
Kids can watch the daily activities of
the hotel's live leopard tortoise mascot
or float down the lazy river. The hotel
also features an indoor pool, an outdoor
pool with pool bar, and a whirlpool. A
fitness center and two restaurants are
also available on site.
