A Great Resort in a Wonderful Beach Town
Review From: Aaron, Jun 9, 2008
Indian Rocks is a lovely little beach town on the Gulf Coast. My wife and I just stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, and got a lot more than we'd hoped for. We had a beautiful "Sunset Suite," that had a living room and a kitchen (that we never even used because the local restaurants were so great). The atmosphere is just perfect. The hotel's great, and right on the water. There are two pools, a hot tub, a Tiki bar with live music every night, and two restaurants right in the hotel (including "Jimmy Guana's," a fun place with great atmosphere). Then once you venture outside the hotel, it's a great town. The Tacky Turtle is a fun restaurant right off the beach. Crabby Bill's is another good restaurant right across the street. My wife and I loved the Key West atmosphere here. All of the staff are very laid-back and friendly and the people in town were the same way. Because this is an older property the walls are thin, and I think noise could be an issue. Fortunately, our neighbors were very quiet and nobody got too rowdy in the hallways while we were there. We had a big, comfortable room, and we had no complaints at all about this hotel. It was a great holiday, and a great break from our New York City rat-race lifestyle. Can't wait to come back!
