Needs competition.
Review From: JL, Jun 9, 2008
We stayed here 3 nights in July, 2006. The location is very good, just over the intra-coastal waterway bridge to the beach; golf club and privately owned homes nearby; it's the only hotel within 20 miles.
We found it expensive--about $150/night at AARP rates w/ taxes for Queen, non-smoking (although there was an ash tray in the room).
Towels were thin and tattered, worn completely at the edges--asking for different ones at the front desk and I got the same quality. Only by checking personally with the cleaning person (and leaving a note thereafter) was I able to get fluffier towels. Mildew (lots) around the old, relined shower/bathtub. "Breakfast" was mainly pastries, donuts, cereal. Hampton Inns do a better job.
Not much choice in this area, not many commercial buildings; this hotel needs competition. Staff not particularly friendly or attentive and by noon, every day, we were locked out of our rooms by the electronic key. A daily trek to the front desk had to be made to reset them.
We were visiting friends in the area, otherwise we would have moved on.
