Cool Place & Great Location

Nice change of pace regarding hotel decor! Quiet, clean & comfortable. The streetcar right outside makes sightseeing super easy. Easy walk to Bourbon St. & Harrah's. However, hot water was the only option with the faucets..seems to be a problem in most rooms...somehow we managed. Would stay there again, but not every time.

They stole our videocamera!

During our stay in May, we arrived late at night with our van filled with items for our three month road trip. We mistakingly left our videocamera in the van and when we checked out on Sunday it was gone. There was no damage to the car, so we know it was someone who had our keys (valet, doorman). The hotel didn't even respond to my e-mails or calls about the incident. The valet service said they weren't liable of course. They claim they have no security videocameras to review what happened. We loved the hotel, but this incident was inexcuseable and my wife and I want others to know that they have thieves working for them. The bag they took from the back of our van had our video footage from the first month of our trip. It was devastating. We love Kimpton Group Hotels, but don't recommend risking your belongings at this hotel, especially with the lack of concern and no response from management.
