Kudos to Hilton for a Memorable Visit

This hotel is HUGE! My wife and I visited Hawaii during the spring break and we were absolutely floored, first by the beautiful paradise island (this being our first visit) and second by the fantastic service. The Hilton really complements the scenic beauty of the area. The property is right at the beach, so it was quite natural that we ignored the in-house pool in favor of the ocean. We spent most of the time just chilling on the beach and sampling the many ocean-front restaurants, some reasonably priced and others that were downright expensive. We had to rent the beach chairs, which I think most hotels charge for nowadays. But the great part was that this place has something for everyone. The extremely hospitable staff checked us in really quickly. Our room was in the Alii tower, a bit more expensive than the Rainbow tower, but worth every dime. This tower has a separate check-in so you can avoid the crowds at the Rainbow tower. We had a beautiful view of the ocean; the room was clean and tastefully decorated with a Hawaiian decor. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The restaurants in the hotel are costly, but that makes sense when you consider how upscale this hotel is. I quite liked the penguins and flamingos that live on the premises and are on display. My wife, however, thinks this is horrible and doesn't think they should be put on display like that. The hotel also organizes an evening of entertainment every day, complete with dancers and a fireworks display at the Super Pool; don't miss it. Remember, if you're a Hilton member, you might be lucky enough to get an upgrade at no extra charge. Another tip, just rent a car and explore Waikiki. You'll love it. Kudos to Hilton for a really memorable visit!
