A Lovely Hotel with Above-Average Attention to Detail

When my wife and I took our daughters to visit Hershey, PA, we stayed at the Hershey Lodge. Predictably, everything is done on a "chocolate" theme, down to the pillowcases with Hershey's Kisses on them. My daughters loved it! The lodge itself is filled with high-quality details like big beams and a grand lobby, and the Lodge is designed in a sweeping architectural style. The rooms aren't inexpensive, but the Lodge includes a lot of extras and family events. Also included in the price are tickets to the Hershey Museum and the Hershey Garden. We also took the shuttle bus to the wonderful Hershey Park, which I can't recommend highly enough. (Buy your tickets at the Lodge and you'll save $10 per adult ticket, by the way.) The shuttle let us avoid the long lines into the Park's parking lot. Once in the Park, we took rides all day long. The lines weren't long (we were there in the last week of August, so a lot of kids had already started school). The shuttle bus really takes you everywhere in Hershey, and it's an excellent service. In the lodge there are a lot of children and family activities: Arts and crafts, movies, a campfire, and marshmallow roasting. The hotel also has three pools, one of which is an indoor/outdoor pool, which the girls loved. This is a very family-friendly lodge, and the lodge staff takes great care to ensure that you and your family enjoy yourself while you're there.
