Family Hotel with Large Indoor Waterpark for Young Kids
Review From: editorialreviews@nextag.com, Jun 9, 2008
"The Great Wolf Lodge offers one of the largest indoor waterparks in the country. Separated into two parks, Treehouse Island and Spirit Island, the waterparks cover over 70,000 square feet and consists of 12 waterslides and an array of water activities. Lazy rivers, whirlpools, and swimming pools are just some of the recreational fun offered at the parks. The hotel is located in the Wisconsin Dells, one mile from the Dells boat tours and 12 miles from Trappers Turn Golf.
The four-story resort offers 204 suites, each with its own private balcony or patio. The suites feature wet bars, microwaves, refrigerators, and coffeemakers. 27-inch televisions with pay-per-view movies and video games are also available. The rooms are air-conditioned but dimly lit. The walls are also thin, so noise from other rooms and floors can often be heard.
Guests who do not wish to get wet can enjoy the arcade or visit Wiley Woods, the 20,000-square-foot foam ball and slide play area. Adults can indulge in the Aveda Concept Spa and Salon with massages or workout in the Iron Horse Fitness Center.
Overall, the Great Wolf Lodge is a great attraction for families. Older kids may get bored quickly with the waterslides but younger children will be kept busy for hours."
