Yankee Hospitality Provides a Nice Getaway Amidst Beach Surroundings

"Gorges Grant Hotel attracts regulars looking for a relaxing getaway in a clean and good-looking environment. The hotel certainly distinguishes itself with large rooms, complimentary wireless Internet, free local phone calls, refrigerator, heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center, coin-operated washers and dryers, and an outdoor pool in the warmer months. It recently remodeled its onsite Raspberri's Restaurant, which guests have praised for its breakfasts. (A bed-and-breakfast rate is available.)
A trolley makes a stop in front to take travelers around Ogunquit's charms, which include three miles of beach, art galleries, boutiques, theater, antiques, fishing, and must-try seafood restaurants. The Maine arts' colony, just 66 miles south of Boston, is also gay-friendly. Golf enthusiasts can get guest privileges at Cape Neddick Country Club, which owns the semi-private 18-hole golf course. Tee times should be booked three days in advance. "
