The Best Room I've Had in Ages, with a Fireplace to Boot!
Review From: Aaron, Jun 9, 2008
The Marriott's Fairfield Inns are excellent. I've stayed in a couple others, but this one in Gatlinburg is the nicest so far. The hotel's staff was very gracious and accommodating, and they went out of their way to ensure I got a room with a nice location. I got a beautiful room facing onto the Little Pigeon River. And it had a gas-burning fireplace! My room was also very nice and quiet, which seems to be a rarity in big hotels these days. I was in Gatlinburg on business, but I'd love to take my wife and son back there so we could visit all the sites nearby. This hotel is a little older, but it has been nicely maintained and has an excellent downtown location. There are a lot of restaurants and shops within close walking distance. The hotel's staff is excellent, and that made a big difference to me. It's definitely turned me into someone who will be a repeat customer. One drawback of the hotel is that its pool is small. That doesn't much bother me but I know my wife and son might be disappointed. On the other hand, there is so much to do in Gatlinburg that I don't think we'd want to do much pool time anyway.
