We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Resort and Waterpark in Duluth.

This is a company, along with its excellent staff, that knows how to treat its guests. There's an ample complimentary breakfast every morning and complimentary drinks in the evening. It was obvious that the young waterpark lifeguards take their jobs seriously. They stayed at their posts, watched the youngsters (and grandparents like me and my husband who fell out of our innertube when shooting through one of the slides), rather than socializing among themselves. The only glitch was that the front desk seems to be understaffed, so it took a long time to check in or to take care of other business. And we were initially sent to a room that hadn't been cleaned, but even that worked to our advantage in that we got a two-room suite for the same price. We definitely will return anytime we're in the area.

A Family Retreat

I visit the Best Western Edgewater every summer with my family. The hotel teams up with Vista Fleet to give you the best deal on rooms and cruises. We usually stay in a room that gives us a great view of the Lake Superior. The room is large, clean, and comfortable; and is equipped with a fridge as well as a microwave. The hotel has a pool and a mini golf course, which are favorites with my kids. My family enjoys the healthy breakfast that is served by the hotel. The hotel's staff is quite friendly and efficient, barring the director of its bar. I think the hotel will win more brownie points from its visitors if it can do away with that rude man. Apart from that I have no complaints about the place and will definitely visit it in the coming summers.
