We stayed at the Desert Palms in Sept'04. There were seven of us in our party with one couple in one suite and one family of five in the other. Every time we went to the desk with a concern or question we found the desk staff to be more than willing to help us. We had reserved a family suite and after a couple days found the suite to be a bit cramped for our needs. Robert at the front desk moved us to a new suite and made sure that the new suite was to our liking. The original suite was in the old part of the hotel and was showing it's age. It had a bit of a musty smell and was long and narrow. The new suite was in the new part of the hotel and was a kitchen suite with full size fridge and stove. It had a balcony, a bedroom, living room and of course a full bathroom. It worked out much better for our family. And we got it for the same price! This suite was rm 331 and was perfect for a family of four or five. My only suggestion would be that you request a rm in the new part of the building and stay away from the old part. The pool is small and only five ft. deep. It is outdoors and surrounded on all sides by the buildings. Having a Quizno's and a restaurant right in the hotel was nice. We used the Quizno's but only once ordered take away from the restaurant. The service was not that great as there was a pro fight on the tv and the guy was not interested in being disturbed to take our order. That was our only bad experience in our whole stay. The bus stop for ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) is right outside the door and takes you right to Disneyland. It would be way too far for the elderly or very young to walk. We would stay here again and have great praise for Robert and the front desk staff for making our stay a pleasure.
