Convenient to Beach and Nightlife but Caters to Party Crowd
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
Situated on a barrier island, the Best
Western Resort Pensacola Beach offers
access to pristine white-sand beaches
and the quiet waters of the Gulf of
Mexico. The gulf's longest fishing pier
is located only two blocks from the
hotel. The lively Boardwalk, with its
variety of shops and restaurants, is
also within walking distance, as is the
busy nightclub scene. Other area
attractions include the Gulf Breeze Zoo
and the National Aviation Museum, both
14 miles away.
The three-story hotel features 123
guest rooms with either queen beds or
two double beds. All rooms offer
microwaves, refrigerators,
coffeemakers, and mini-bars. Other
amenities include 27-inch televisions
and hair dryers. The décor consists of
dark earth tones combined with bright
pastel colors to create a warm
environment. This color scheme works in
some spots and clashes in others.
Balconies are not offered at this hotel
but the higher-priced rooms feature
fantastic views of the waters.
The hotel features two outdoor pools, a
game room, and a children's playground.
Water sports equipment rentals, such as
boats and jet skis, are also available.
The hotel does not feature a
restaurant, but a complimentary
continental breakfast is served in the
lobby. The hotel can also get crowded
with the young party contingent, so
those who wish for a more quiet stay
may do better booking during the off
season or during the weekday.
