Very Poor Customer Relations

I was booked a non-smoking room by my company and when arrived to booked in I was designated to a smoking room and told quite sharply by the desk attendant that just because you request a non-smoking room does not mean you will get a non-smoking room. I was told that he would have the room sprayed to remove the smell and freshen it up but this never happened. I had other business people in the hotel who came to visit but would not stay because of the smell. I was not offered throughout the week to be moved to another room. This I think is very poor customer relations.
