Beachfront Resort with 21 Water Attractions
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
With 21 water attractions, the Compass
Cove Oceanfront Resort provides guests
with plenty of recreational choices.
Situated near the south end of Myrtle
Beach, the resort is close to many
shops and restaurants, as well as
entertainment options such as the
Myrtle Beach Pavilion amusement park
and golf courses. The 720-feet beach,
located in front of the hotel, offers
generous room for relaxation and
opportunities to participate in water
sports.
The resort accommodations consist of
two adjacent buildings housing 531 air-
conditioned guest rooms and suites. The
guest rooms are located in the Schooner
Building while suites are located in
the Pinnacle Building. Balconies with
ocean views are offered in each unit.
All rooms and suites include cable
television, refrigerators, climate
controls, and ironing boards. Dial-up
Internet access and in-room safes are
also available. Light wood furniture
and bright, tropical colors make up the
casual decor. Some rooms are more worn
down than others. A renovation and
better upkeep would make the rooms much
more attractive.
The resort features six swimming pools,
five children's pools, two hot tubs,
and five Jacuzzis. Guests can also
relax and float down one of the hotel's
three winding lazy rivers, each
measuring at least 200 feet.
All in all, with its beach location and
water attractions, this resort is a
convenient and worthwhile stay.
