Close to Casinos but Isolated
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
The main draw of the Comfort Suites
Norwich is its close proximity to the
area's major casinos. The Mohegan Sun
Casino is located six miles away, and
the 12 miles away lies the Foxwoods
Resort and Casinos. A complimentary
shuttle to the casinos is offered every
hour from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dodd Stadium
is located two miles away, but other
than that, the hotel is pretty isolated.
This seclusion provides a quiet
atmosphere for this all-suites hotel.
The five-story building holds 119
suites with pullout sofas to
accommodate extra guests. Amenities
include cable television with HBO,
video-game consoles, voice mail, and
wireless Internet access. Refrigerators
and coffeemakers are also offered in
all rooms.
Guests can relax in the indoor pool and
spa tub or work up a sweat in the
fitness center. Other facilities
include three conference rooms, an
arcade room, and a banquet hall. A
complimentary breakfast is served every
morning.
Overall, the Comfort Suites Norwich is
an ideal alternative to staying at the
Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Resort, but not
for those who want a livelier
surrounding.
