I stayed at the Comfort Inn South Oceanfront recently, as I was doing business in Nags Head. From the start, I liked the hotel because I was impressed with how professional the staff was. And the view from my room, as well as many others, was breathtaking. But I know that if my wife had been there, she'd have been unhappy with the many dated features of this hotel. Everything was a bit run down. The hotel itself is older, and the lobby is slightly dated. All of the carpets in the hallways are worn, as are the room carpets. The furniture in the rooms is also older, though I thought the bed was firm and comfortable. The hotel has a pool as well, but it's quite small. The reason the Comfort Inn was nice for me is its beautiful location and its ease. As I said, the staff is very efficient. I had no complaints about housekeeping either. I think the hotel is planning to do some remodeling this year. I hope so. It's a nice property in a fantastic location.
