I made a complaint, the manager was not in. I asked to have the manager call me when he/she came in. The manager never returned my call

We reserved two rooms at the Clarion hotel at Manhattan, KS. We paid a premium price, because it was a game night and wanted the rooms for the night of the game only. I had no problem with that. I even called back several days later and wanted to reserve another room, but was told there were none available. I asked if they had a cancellation to call me. We never received a call. On Saturday night we checked in around 9:00pm or after, and were very tired after being at the game all day. The bathtub in our bathroom had not been cleaned. There were two used, dirty washcloths hanging over the shower curtain bar. They were stiff. The bathtub had a ring and I rinsed dark dirt out of the tub before I used it. The shower did not have proper water pressure. I requested a smoke free room and the bed clothes smelled of smoke. The second rooms bathtub would not drain during a shower and they had to stand in about four inches of water during their shower. The next morning I went to complain to the manager around 8:30 or 9:00am and was told there was no manager on duty at the time. The manager would be in sometime, I asked when, they did not know. The manager was at church. I asked that the manager call me, when he/she came in. I gave the desk clerks my cell phone number and my home phone number. We were in Manahattan for three or four hours and never received a call or a voice message. It is now 7:30pm and I never received a call from the manager. (We have caller ID on all phones) Another football mom told us she has been happy with this Clarion Hotel, and I am trying to find a regular place to stay, on weekends we do not want to drive back to Leavenworth. (My son is a Freshman at K-State) By now I am sure the room has been cleaned to perfection. Kathy and Mike Goldak
