Convenient Downtown Location for Shoppers and Business Travelers
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
Located on lively Michigan Avenue, the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile provides a convenient location right next to the Magnificent Mile shopping area and the financial district. Other attractions such as the Navy Pier and Lake Michigan are nearby. Opened in 2003, this 46-story hotel features 1,192 guest rooms with fantastic views of the city and modern amenities. Business travelers will appreciate the large work desk, ergonomic chair, and high-speed Internet access. Other business needs can be met at the 24-hour business center. The hotel offers 3,700 square feet of meeting space including a banquet area and ballroom. Parking at the hotel can be expensive at around $30 per night so guests may want to find parking at other lots.

Marriott Building Needs an Upgrade
Review From: Shyam, Jun 9, 2008
I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Chicago. Although this hotel is expensive, the location was what had me hooked. It's right on Michigan Avenue, and it was very convenient for me to conduct my business and do a bit of shopping and sightseeing. My room at Marriott was tiny and crowded. The bathroom was so small that I could barely take a shower without bumping into the walls. I could hear my neighbor's chatter through the thin walls. However, the staff and the service were in keeping with the Marriott heritage, truly world-class. I preferred dining out since the food at the hotel was expensive. I think the hotel management should try and renovate the property and make it more appealing.
