Situated on the Gulf of Mexico, the Chateau Motel provides direct access to a 500-foot long beach of beautiful white sand. The location, in the center of the Miracle Strip, is convenient to many of the area's attractions. A variety of shops and restaurants are within close walking distance. The 150 guest rooms in this four-story motel all offer gulf views. The air- conditioned rooms offer basic amenities such as cable television and refrigerators. The refrigerators, however, are very small and cannot hold much more than a day's worth of drinks. The hotel features an outdoor lagoon pool right by the gulf. Because of the cheap rates and casual atmosphere, the motel attracts a young college crowd, especially during spring break in the month of March and early April. Those who do not enjoy the noise of a young crowd should book in other months and during off-season. Overall, for a good deal and a great location, the Chateau Motel is a terrific choice.
