Vegas-Style Italian Hotel on the Atlantic Shores
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa brings the bravado of the Vegas resorts to Atlantic City. The Italian-style, 43-story tower has the honor of being the largest hotel, as well as the tallest building, in all of New Jersey. With a myriad of entertainment options, from a full-service spa to 11 restaurants, the Borgata isn't just for gamblers. The 2,404 guest rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows to allow expansive views of the city and ocean. Beds are lined with 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets. The bathrooms are spacious and feature marble floors and walls. The oversized showers are enclosed in glass and offer therapeutic showerheads with many settings. The main attraction at the Borgata, of course, is the casino. 145 gaming tables and more than 3,600 slot machines dot the landscape of this 125,000-square foot gaming area. The Music Box theater seats 1,000 guests for headline acts and nighttime shows. Guests who tire of the casino can retreat to the Spa Toccare. This European-style spa stretches over 50,000 square feet and includes 22 treatment rooms, a fitness center, and a relaxing indoor garden pool. Though the Borgata is located on the marina, it is not within close proximity to the beach. In short, while the hotel is a good match for guests whose main objectives are gambling and spa treatments, it is inconvenient to those who wish to enjoy the Boardwalk experience.
