Centrally Located Very Basic Hotel with Good Prices
Review From: Yvonne, Jun 9, 2008
My husband and I just got married two years ago, and we wanted to spend one last vacation partying hard before we start having children. We'd both been to "HoJo" on the Boardwalk during spring break when we were in college, and we'd had a lot of fun. So we went again in March this year, and had a good, if not great, time. But it's different when you're adults. You want something more in a hotel. Instead of partying hard this time, we were happy to spend a lot of time by the pool reading books. Do we sound like an old married couple yet? We also walked a lot of the beach, and strolled around Panama City. The rooms are nice enough, if a little noisy, but this is a very basic hotel. What do you expect from Howard Johnson's? Its staff is really nice, though. And its location is great, right in the center of everything. That meant we were close to the beach, the pool, and there are two great clubs close by. There's also a nice club in the Howard Johnson itself. We enjoyed ourselves, but we won't be back. We agreed that our next vacation will have to be to a more luxurious resort. My husband wants a golf course, and I want a spa.
